INTRO TO PARTNER & AERIAL ACROBATICS

with Hercinia Arts

Step off the ground and into the world of aerial and partner acrobatics in this beginner-friendly workshop led by the incredible team from Hercinia Arts. Participants will explore movement, balance, trust and basic aerial techniques in a safe and supportive environment designed for curious movers and adventurous kids / teens. Note, this workshop can be divided into two groups – one for younger kids, and one for teens.

Perfect for participants who love to climb, move and try something completely new.

OBJECT MANIPULATION: SPINNING BALLS, HATS & MORE

with Argentina’s The Twins Trip

Discover the art of playful movement and classic busker-style tricks in this energetic workshop with The Twins Trip. Participants will learn introductory object manipulation techniques using spinning balls, hats and other performance props while exploring rhythm, coordination and creativity.

A fast-moving, laughter-filled workshop designed for curious young performers.

BEATBOXING WORKSHOP

with Scott Jackson

Learn how to turn your voice into an instrument in this high-energy beatboxing workshop with performer Scott Jackson. Participants will explore rhythm, sound effects, vocal percussion and performance basics in a fun, interactive environment.

No musical background required. Just bring your voice and your sense of humour!

JUGGLING & CHARACTER PERFORMANCE

More than just tossing objects in the air, great busking is about personality, presence and play. In this workshop, participants will learn beginner juggling techniques while exploring movement, character and performance style.

A perfect workshop for creative kids who love to entertain.

WHAT SHOULD PARTICIPANTS WEAR?

Comfortable clothing they can move in easily. Closed-toe shoes recommended.

DO PARTICIPANTS NEED EXPERIENCE?

Nope! All workshops are beginner-friendly unless otherwise noted.

CAN PARENTS STAY?

Parents/guardians are welcome to remain onsite at Magnus Theatre during workshops.

WHAT SHOULD PARTICIPANTS BRING?

Water bottle, comfortable clothing and lots of enthusiasm.

CAN MY CHILD REGISTER FOR MORE THAN ONE WORKSHOP?

Yes! Participants may register for multiple workshops if age requirements align.
